Disadvantages of LED plant fill light
1) LED plant fill light, the spectrum is limited to the visible light part, mainly composed of red light and blue light, showing pink light, the color rendering is very low, which is not conducive to protecting eyesight, especially in the long-term pink light environment, It is easy to cause dizziness, nausea, and vision loss.
2) In the spectrum of LED plant fill light, there is almost no ultraviolet light, but ultraviolet light plays a role in improving the vividness of flowers. The reason why the flowers in the plateau area are particularly bright is because of the abundant ultraviolet radiation.
3) The laser plant growth light adopts the spectral technology of laser synthesis of plant photosynthesis, which can promote plant growth. The effective irradiation area of a laser plant growth lamp is more than 600 square meters, and each lamp can provide illumination and supplementary light for an acre of greenhouses. Therefore, this kind of fill light is not suitable for home gardening and fill light.
4) Incandescent lamps are the most common, which emit strong yellow and red intertwined warm-colored lights, while halogen lamps are cool-colored beams. When placing it, it should be noted that it should not be placed in a place close to the light source. The heat emitted by it will burn the leaves, and there should be a certain distance between the two. For example, it should be 60 cm away from incandescent bulbs. There are also metal halide chandeliers and mercury chandeliers, which have large effective illumination distance and high power, and are more suitable for long-distance use in large areas. The cost of planting small areas is not cost-effective.
5) Careful placement of grow lights is also important for them to better simulate ideal sunlight conditions, no doubt it is a relatively good place to hang or place lights above a plant bed or pot so that when the plant lights mimic overhead natural sunlight will expose all sides and leaves of the plant to artificial light. But it's important to note that we should adjust the position of the grow lights to maintain the proper distance according to the plants we want to grow and the type of grow lights we get. Take fluorescent lights and LED plant lights as an example, they dissipate less heat, so it is generally recommended to hang them at a height of 50-100cm from the plant canopy.
